Our precious Starry, so gentle and sweet, is a Solomon Island Eclectus Female.

Starry likes to hide under her cage and call, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty." and when the cats all come into the living room she jumps out at them and scares them all back into the bedroom!

She is such a character.

Hi we are Nome and Cindy of C & N Aviaries. We want to tell you about ourselves and how we are well experienced in aviculture, each having raised, trained and cared for birds most of our lives. We both have been Presidents of several bird clubs and continued to be members of each club for many years.  Always on the board and on committees.  

Raising parrots, parakeets and canaries is our passion and we have great success with them because we treat them with so much love and tenderness.

Our goal is to raise birds that will become a special friend and pet for you and your family. By hand feeding we have great success in having pets that are gentle and sweet to adults and children. We expose the birds to other household pets with hope that they will learn to get along well.

We find the birds have a way of teaching the dogs and cats their limits pretty successfully. Starry a Solomon Island Eclectus hides under her cage and calls "Here kitty kitty kitty" and when the cats come out into the living room she jumps out and scares them all back into the bedroom! It is great fun!

We welcome you to come and visit our lovely birds. You will be able to hold big Macaws and all the others as they are so tame and trustworthy. Tours are by appointment only so please call or e-mail ahead and let us know when you are coming.
